There are basically 4 stages to cancer and as the stage increases the severity also increases. Stage 0- At this stage, the condition is not cancer but there is growth of abnormal cells which can become cancer cells if not taken care of. Stage 1- At this stage, the cancer cells are very small and are concentrated to one area. Stage 2 and 3- At these stages, the cancer cells have become larger and are spreading towards nearby tissues and lymph nodes. Stage 4- At this stage, the condition is worse as the cancer cells have spread to other parts of the body causing harm to the tissues. The most common types of cancers that occur in males can be Prostate cancer, Lung cancer, Colorectal cancer, Bladder cancer, and Melanoma (type of skin cancer). Prostate cancer is a disease in which the prostate gland begins to grow out of control which is located in pelvis of men and causes problems to males. The symptoms of prostate cancer can be frequent urination, dull pain in lower pelvic area, pain or burning while urinating, blood in the urine, pain in ejaculation, loss of appetite, loss of weight, pain in lower back, hips or upper thighs, bone pain etc. The factors that can increase the risk of prostate cancer in males can be age above 55, lifestyle infirmities, diet, obesity, family history, and smoking. If the prostate cancer is low then you can opt for active surveillance but if the condition is at risk then you can do surgery to remove the prostate, radiation therapy, freezing or heating prostate tissue, hormone therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted drug therapy.
Doing surgery can be an option for treating prostate cancer but there can be other options as well depending upon the stage of your cancer.
Doing regular exercise can help you prevent cancer but for treating cancer you will need to take medical help.
